Portrait Commissions
Now accepting portrait commissions:
Gaze upon the object of your affection
with a custom illustrated portrait lovingly painted just for you.
Good news! I am offering portraits painted in the style of the Seattle Review of Books Portrait Gallery
COST: $275 (plus tax in WA state, S&H)
SIZE: 9"x12"
MEDIUM: Gouache on acid free artist paper
STYLE: bright, naive
DETAILS: One subject/face/person/animal per portrait
ADD-ONS: extra subject, detailed background, cost TBD
HOW DOES THIS WORK? I will request a series of photos to use for reference (though I won't copy the image), as well as information about favorite colors, patterns, jewelry, clothing, etc. From these materials I will sketch the portrait in pencil for your review. If there are changes, we will make them at the pencil stage. Once the pencil sketch is approved I transfer the image to the artist paper and begin painting.
MEH, I'M NOT SURE: Want to see portraits in person? Please contact me and we can set up a studio appointment.
Unique! Fun! Colorful!
Drop me a line, give me a ring 206-669-0161-- we can do this!
