Flannery O'Connor Book Jacket Spot
New Illustrations for Freedom's Feast
I've just completed a series of illustrations, icons and hand-lettering for an online book and website project for the client Freedom's Feast.
The brief was to create colorful, engaging, playful and joyous images to accompany the text of the Freedom's Feast book that would reflect the diversity, spirit and innovation of the American people. I worked very closely with the art director and client, painting in gouache a series of spots and spreads that would support the content and strike the proper tone.
This was a fantastic project and I felt very lucky to be able to work with such a great team. Thanks Ellen and Lee!
From the Freedom's Feast Website:
Freedom's Feast helps families to discover new ways to celebrate major American holidays so that we can pass on the stories, values and behaviors we care about to our next generation of American citizens and leaders.
Citizenship begins at home. Freedom's Feast provides easy to use, short, fun ceremonies and activities for six major American holidays. We help parents and grandparents to turn holiday time off into memorable time on for the whole family. Most importantly, making these memories can be a joyful adventure for everyone!
